FOMC meeting and Fed rate decision schedule 2026–2027
The Fed's Federal Open Market Committee meets eight times a year to set the policy rate. The rate statement is released at 2:00 p.m. New York time, and the Fed Chair's press conference starts 30 minutes later.
Four of the eight meetings (March, June, September, December) also bring economic projections and the dot plot. Minutes follow about three weeks later.
For NQ traders this is the most volatile moment of all: tech stocks are highly sensitive to rate expectations, and price often whipsaws both at the statement and during the press conference.
