Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) release schedule 2026
Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) is the number of new US jobs outside agriculture, part of the Employment Situation report the BLS publishes, usually on the first Friday of the month at 8:30 a.m. New York time.
The unemployment rate and average hourly earnings come out at the same moment. Together they show whether the labour market is running hot or cooling, which feeds into rate expectations.
For NQ, the first few minutes after the release are often violent with wide spreads; many traders stay flat until price settles.
